Luna and Matt are getting married!

We've known Matt for... honestly, we don't even know how long. 😂 What we do know is that this entire family are people we care deeply about. So when he reached out about photographing his engagement session at one of our favorite plsces (NYPL), we were incredibly excited... and if we're being honest, we also felt a little extra pressure to give these two our absolute best.

One of the things we tell every couple is that creating incredible engagement photos is a collaboration. Our approach, our experience, and our ability to use light is a huge part of it, but the other half comes from our couples. The location you choose, what you wear, the time of day, and most importantly, the way you show up for each other all help shape the final images.

Matt and Luna absolutely nailed it.

We met up at the New York Public Library, and from the very beginning, everything just clicked. The location was elegant, the light was beautiful, and these two made every moment feel effortless. We spent the afternoon laughing, exploring the library, and creating images we keep coming back to.

But there was something else this session reminded us of.

Some of our favorite photographs don't come from perfect poses or perfect light. They come from trust. When couples allow us to really get to know them, joke with them, and connect beyond simply taking pictures, something changes. The session becomes less about standing in front of a camera and more about spending time together. That's when expressions become genuine, affection becomes effortless, and photographs begin to feel like memories instead of poses, and how we can actually see who you are, not just take your photo

Matt and Luna gave us that opportunity, and we're so thankful they did.

Thank you both for trusting us, for inviting us into this season of your lives, and for making this session such an awesome experience.Enter a Heading
